The Capitol Theatre & Garcia's

First opening its doors on August 18, 1926, The Capitol Theatre has been a rock 'n' roll sanctuary for decades. In the 1970s, the theater hosted just about every major rock act of that time period, including Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and Traffic. The 1990s would see the likes of Phish, David Bowie, and The Rolling Stones. The Capitol Theatre reopened in 2012 after a massive renovation, Bob Dylan played the stage for the venue's opening night show on September 4, 2012.

Garcia's is The Capitol Theatre's “venue within a venue," and often serves as an incubator for lesser-known local, regional, and touring acts. Shows often act as a breakthrough to bigger stages and festivals for the bands who get to play the stage.
