NYC's Best Soup Spots

Soup isn't just for the winter! Whether you need something to pick you up on a rainy day, or you're just in the mood for a light and easy meal, nothing tops a good soup.

1. The Cozy Soup N' Burger

739 Broadway, East Village

With so many diners in the city, it's hard to know which ones are the stand-outs. The East Village's Cozy Soup & Burger is definitely one of those, thanks to their generously portioned and reasonably priced burgers and of course, soups. The menu sticks to the American classics, including split pea, homemade western-style chili, and french onion soup, but you won't be left disappointed with the size nor the quality. Pair it with a tasty sandwich, wrap, or whatever else the impressively lengthy menu has to offer!

3. The Clam

420 Hudson Street, West Village

The difference between good New England clam chowder and great clam chowder is crucial, and once you try a great-tasting bowl, you'll realize what you've been missing out on. That's the case with The Clam's New England clam chowder-- its broth is creamy and sweet without being overwhelming, seasoned with chunks of bacon, leeks, and a generous portion of oyster crackers to go into it. It's offered as an appetizer, but really stands out on its own, or with a side of their old bay seasoned fries.
