Night owls have plenty of options in the city that never sleeps for those late-night booze cravings. If you're looking to make your night everlasting (at least until 4 am), these spots will be open and alive awaiting your spirited presence. You'll never know what you could run into during a late night bar hopping excursion, whether it's meeting the love of your life chanting the Backstreet Boys' best hits, or eating the best meal of your life (Any meal you can get after 2 AM is your next best late night meal.)
228 W 47th St | Theater District

Located in Hotel Edison, the vintage maroon walls balanced with the somber colonial style architecture formulate the modern day into a 1970s atmosphere. This hideaway offers live jazz music for all the classic folks out there, and if you’re craving a usual Manhattan, it has been said they have the best one in the city. This an intimate escape from the hustle and bustle of touristy Times Square.
22 W 32nd St | Koreatown

Unlike many karaoke bars, this spot has private rooms where you can sing your heart out without judgment, but also stay steer clear from the bar fights that result in who gets the mic next. Whether you’re in the mood for some modern pop hits, or classic 80’s oldies, their phone book-sized selection has it all.
627 5th Ave | South Slope
Photo: FREDDY'S BAR
This bartender-owned Brooklyn locale has changed the definition of a dive bar. This spot has an elevated taste to typical pub food with a full kitchen, and cheap drinks without being watered down. The slight neon red lighting and eclectic metal ceilings are anything but overwhelming. Whether you’re alone, meeting friends, or watching a live show in the backroom, the owners are sure to make you feel like family.
134 E 1st Ave | East Village
PHOTO: GOODNIGHT SONNY
Best oyster happy hour in the East Village. Aside from the killer 4-7 PM HH, where you can slurp $1 oysters, $5 beers, and $8 cocktails, the selling point is their food - served up way past bedtime! The dimly lit and chic interior caught our eyes immediately and the Roasted Pork Sandwich stole the show..especially when we found out the easy way that even the kitchen was open until their 4 AM closing time!
510 Hudson St | Greenwich Village

This lively speakeasy is unquestionably the place to be for a fun night out rather than a quiet drink at the bar. Although this place may leave your wallet slightly dry, (who wouldn’t be after seeing garlic aioli parmesan fries on the menu) it’ll be worth the stay. Also, if you’re a 90’s music lover this place is said to play throwbacks pretty often.
236 W 54th St | Midtown West
photo: THE THREE MONKEYS
If you’re more than ready to chug down a pint during the Giants game or indulge in some of the cheesiest nachos around amid a heating Knicks game, this 2-floor sports bar is ready to have you aboard. This spot not only has 10+ TVs, and 36 draft beer options but has its bar on each floor, so no sweaty, overcrowding here. Although sports bars may seem too lively for some residents, the second-floor heated outdoor patio assists those who may also prefer a casual date night.
696 10th Ave | Hell's Kitchen

To all the whiskey lovers alike this is your spot! Whether you consider yourself an expert whiskey connoisseur, or a curious newbie, the knowledgeable staff is there to assist you to find your perfect essence. With an average of 80 varieties of spirits to select from, there is always something new to try with each calm visit.
432 E 13th St | Bushwick

Despite its size, this small spot fits the last but not least spot on the list! This is a perfect spot for pregaming or catching one of the best happy hour deals on the whole island. Aside from their 6-hour long happy hour (4 pm-10 pm) Tues - Sat, on Sundays and Mondays Happy Hour goes ALL NIGHT LONG with 2-for-1 drink specials that are mind-blowing for NY. You can also acquire a round of shots for your birthday, bachelorette, or bachelor party on the house. If you’re craving a chill time, grab one (or more) of their renowned rolo shots and have a nice sit by their wood-burning fireplace.
