Thinking of all the dog owners who are dying to have some fun but worry about leaving their dogs out of it, we compiled the best patios, restaurants, and bars by borough that allow you and your best pal to share a beer and a bone together! 



Manhattan

195 Avenue A | East Village

Boris & Horton is the perfect spot for you and your pup! This dog-friendly cafe and community space serves coffee, pastries, and more, with a dedicated menu for furry friends. They also host adoption events, breed meetups, workshops, and themed nights.


The Grey Dog

Mulitple Locations

This neighborhood café and coffee shop is one of our favorites! The Grey Dog, with locations scattered throughout NYC, offers outdoor seating for dogs, wholesome American food, and a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.


The Barking Dog

Upper East Side & Hell's Kitchen

Bring your dog to the outside tables and enjoy the nice weather! While you're at it, make sure to check their signature dishes like the Seared Crab Cakes and the Buttermilk Battered Fried Chicken.


LouLou

176 8th Ave | Chelsea

The cozy French Bistro serving classics for lunch, brunch and dinner is named after the owner's beloved rescue, and dog's are welcome on their patio with their own doggie menu to order from! It also houses a lower-level speakeasy with an extensive cocktail menu and lively atmosphere with music nightly.


The Wilson

From parmesan pull-apart bread to steak frites, this chic spot covers all the lunch and dinner cravings. The best part? Pups get their own full dog menu with steak, chicken, or even a frozen pupsicle.


Fred's

476 Amsterdam Ave | Upper West Side

An Upper West Side favorite, you know a restaurant is dog-friendly when the walls are covered in photos of customers' pets. Although your dog is not allowed inside, Fred's is the best place to sit outside and do some people/dog watching.

During the warmer months, enjoy Novitás' sophisticated menu under canvas umbrellas in their outside area with your four-legged friends. Some of the house's specialties include skillfully prepared fish, seafood, and house-made pasta. 


Harlem Tavern

Mac and cheese and a truffle burger wouldn’t be complete without your furry friend hounding you for a bite. Since Harlem Tavern’s outdoor patio is dog-friendly, it’s the perfect stop after a park stroll.


Sundays Well

A neighborhood gastropub known for craft beers, cocktails, and late-night bites, Sundays Well also makes room for four-legged friends. Their outdoor seating is dog-friendly, so you can kick back over hush puppies or a Sunday Burger while your pup relaxes tableside.

Strong Rope Brewery is the perfect dog-friendly spot to grab a beer! Pets must be leashed at all times, but water bowls and treats are available, just ask! Both locations welcome furry friends, and you can bring your own food, order delivery, or visit on a day they're featuring a local pop-up.


Other Half Brewing

Domino Park & Carroll Gardens 

Other Half Brewing has you covered with craft beer! Soak in skyline views and enjoy Roberta’s pizza delivered to your table at Domino Park, or head to the OG Centre Street location for 20 draft beers, wine, cider, and snacks. Both spots offer on tap & to-go options, plus fun taproom events!

Serving up delicious Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere, this Brooklyn gem is proud of their legacy of friendly service and tasteful food. Although a very receptive environment, your dog is only allowed in the outside areas of the restaurant.

This Williamsburg rooftop cocktail bar at The William Vale hotel offers the perfect spot to eat, drink, and soak in stunning city skyline views! Dogs are welcome at the lower rooftop bar, so make sure to fetch a spot by reserving in advance!
